- What NOT to write to Viscorp:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- - Do NOT scream at them, accuse them of anything (they haven't
- done anything yet :). Do not sling around wild speculation based
- on rumors, and do not make unrealistic statements about the Amiga.
- Many Amigans have a bad repution of proclaiming there devotion so
- strongly to the Amiga that they come off as a "fringe" element..
- and I'm sure that isn't the market VIScorp is looking to sell to :)
-
-
- Some IDEAS on what you SHOULD write to VISCorp:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Answer these questions for VIScorp:
-
- 1. - Who are -we- as current Amiga users?
-
- Let them know what you've been using your Amiga for... and why
- you purchased it. Tell them why you STILL use an amiga today,
- and perhaps (in a subtle way) express the ways in which you have
- been dissapointed in the past by previous Amiga parent companies..
- and offer suggestions on how they can avoid making the same
- mistakes.
-
- 2. - Who will be the potential purchaser of a new Amiga?
-
- Tell them what you feel are the BEST markets for the new machine,
- and how you feel they should market the Amiga. Tell them
- what you think will make the Amiga a successful platform again.
- Be realistic.. thinking of not only what YOU want but what
- you feel other potential buyers may be attracted to in a NEW
- machine.
-
- By giving this information to VISCorp.. you will be saving them
- lots of time and you will be helping them to understand the current
- market. You'll also be helping them decide on what paths to take
- for future marketing and design. These are questions that VISCorp
- would almost certainly need to seek out the answers to eventually.
- Lets take the initiative and offer our hand of help before they
- come asking for it. Let them know who -we- are and where we would
- like to go from here :)
